NYSTI’s national reputation for excellence in creating and producing mysteries of the highest caliber has earned the company a remarkable honor: the privilege of adapting one of Dame Agatha’s books for the stage! “Ordeal by Innocence”, regarded by Christie as one of her personal favorites, is a compelling character study, which explores the mysteries of human nature along with murder.
Mrs. Rachel Argyle was a philanthropist, a fine and generous woman and a loving mother of five adopted children. But one November night, Mrs. Argyle was murdered by someone she knew and trusted. Her troubled son, Jacko, was convicted of the crime and died in prison less than one year into his sentence. Now Dr. Arthur Calgary, just back from an Anarctic expedition, says he can prove Jacko Argyle’s innocence. His announcement threatens to unravel the family.
